Looking Up Arts

Looking Up Arts Foundation is a San Francisco-based organisation established in 2018 dedicated to large-scale art installations. Supporting local artists to produce, express, and disseminate exciting and extraordinary art projects, focusing primarily on art festivals and interactive exhibitions. Design and installation phases of the ‘Sirsasana’ honoraria program for the Burning Man Festival in Nevada. The concept of Sirsasana was to be a playful, welcoming 30-foot-tall installation of a tree-like sculpture doing a headstand. Its tree roots reach for the sky, and its trunk comprises interwoven wooden arcs based on the golden ratio that form a hyperboloid. Interactive lighting and soundscapes bring the tree to life at night to display the pulsing, breathing flow of life force from roots to leaves.
